1. The SimsMap service
SimsMap helps members discover social activities, choose public illustrated avatars, create profiles, manage friendships and communicate in activity chats. Google Maps and Places provide map and meeting-place features. Member-organized activities are not a guarantee of safety, attendance, competence or real-world identity. An avatar, accepted friendship or uploaded selfie is not identity or age verification.
Availability depends on enabled features, supported devices and lawful regional availability. The catalog contains 36 existing character identities: 32 Classic portraits and four base portraits, Theo, Nova, Knox and Lyra. Their stable identities and saved selections are preserved. Public advanced avatar editing, Discover People, SimsMap Plus purchases and push notification delivery are disabled for the initial release. Their presence in source code or historical testing does not make them available to members.
2. Eligibility, registration and acceptance
SimsMap is intended only for people aged 18 years and above. Do not register or use the service if you are under 18. Registration requires an explicit adult declaration and a birth date for eligibility calculation when the eligibility service is active. The server checks the calendar date; an untrusted client flag is not sufficient. The birth date is processed for that check and is not stored in the profile or adult-declaration record. The account identifier, policy version and server acceptance time are recorded. This is a date-based self-declaration, not independent identity or age verification. A Google account, avatar, pronoun preference or selfie does not prove age. Existing accounts are not silently classified as adults and may be required to complete eligibility before protected use. A suspected underage account or incorrect declaration can be reported for appropriate support and safety review. An adults-only service still maintains child-safety reporting and applicable legal obligations.
Continue with Google is the publicly offered sign-in method. Existing authenticated sessions and isolated legacy account-access paths are retained; this change does not delete or merge accounts. Never assume matching email addresses identify the same account. Protect your Google account, device and recovery information. Never share codes or passwords with another member or moderator.
First-time registration asks for profile details, a private He/Him or She/Her avatar-filter preference, a private registration selfie and an individual public avatar. This preference is not inferred from Google information or appearance, and is not automatically published. Existing completed accounts do not repeat signup.
Once a policy bundle is approved and accessible at published HTTPS links, first-time signup requires your explicit acknowledgement. The server records your account ID, exact bundle/document versions and acceptance time. Continuing with Google does not itself accept these Terms. Completed users may be asked to accept a new published bundle without resetting their profile or avatar. Draft or unpublished documents cannot be accepted. Where required current acceptance is missing, publishing social content is restricted; applicable protective actions remain available.
3. Real vibes. Safe community. 🛡️
SimsMap is built for real connections and positive experiences.
Fake or impersonation accounts, scams, harassment, threats, discrimination and behavior intended to harm individuals or communities are strictly prohibited.
Violations may result in temporary account restrictions or permanent bans. Serious threats and suspected illegal activity may be referred to appropriate authorities when legally permitted or required.
Reports are reviewed fairly. Accounts may be temporarily restricted during investigations, and affected users may appeal moderation decisions.
4. Content, activities and offline meetings
Provide truthful activity descriptions, times, capacity and venues. Respect consent, venue rules and the Community Guidelines. Do not arrange unlawful, exploitative, threatening or harmful activities; do not impersonate people or organizations, scam members, solicit private registration selfies, publish private addresses or misuse someone else's personal information. Do not imply official verification or endorsement that does not exist.
You retain rights you lawfully hold in your content. You authorize the limited hosting, transmission, display and technical copies needed to operate, secure and moderate SimsMap. This does not permit unrelated advertising reuse of private selfies. You must hold the rights and permissions needed for content you submit. SimsMap branding and bundled artwork remain subject to their owners' rights.
Use independent judgment when meeting others. Prefer appropriate public places, respect personal boundaries and leave unsafe situations. Map and Places results may be inaccurate. Foreground location permission is optional for location-assisted discovery; the app does not implement background tracking. Public activity venue coordinates can be visible to eligible members. SimsMap is not an emergency-response service.
5. Friendships and unavailable optional features
The five-free-friends cap is disabled while SimsMap Plus cannot be purchased. Existing legitimate friendships are preserved. Blocking, eligibility and anti-spam restrictions continue to apply. There is no active subscription purchase offer in the initial release.
Discover People, paid subscriptions, public advanced avatar editing and push delivery require a separately validated release. Do not rely on these unavailable features. A future material processing or purchase change will be accompanied by applicable updated notices, store terms and approval requirements.
6. Reporting, moderation and appeal
A standard report creates a moderation case, not an automatic suspension. Report counts alone are not proof. Supported reports may include an optional explanation and access-checked references to relevant activity/chat content; arbitrary file evidence uploads are not implemented. Reporter identity is confidential from the reported person, with necessary access limited to authorized personnel and lawful handling.
Moderation decisions require appropriately authorized personnel and recorded reasons. The protected admin workflow requires trusted staff authorization and MFA; a member cannot obtain this access by editing a profile. Credible urgent risks may justify proportionate human protective action pending review. Under-review status alone does not suspend an account. Permanent bans require authorized admin action. Social release remains subject to operational moderation safeguards; publishing these Terms does not itself activate unavailable controls or grant staff access.
Affected members may request a review through the supported appeal mechanism where available or by contacting the grievance officer. Confidential reporter details are not included in restriction notices. The operator receives support and grievance requests. Where the protected workflow requires a reviewer different from the original decision maker, a separately authorized reviewer must be available before that review can be completed; no independent reviewer is represented as currently appointed. No private data is automatically sent to authorities. Lawful disclosure requires authorized, proportionate human handling. SimsMap is not an emergency service and does not promise continuous monitoring.
7. Privacy, deletion and service changes
The Privacy Policy, Data Retention Policy and Account Deletion page explain personal data and current cleanup limits. You can request deletion through the monitored email contact, including if you cannot sign in. In-app deletion is subject to ownership, safety and cleanup checks. Some advanced-avatar or previous QA accounts require assisted review. Failed, pending or held cleanup is not completed deletion. Instant erasure from backups, other devices or provider-controlled temporary storage is not promised.
Material service or processing changes will use versioned notices and any legally required renewed acknowledgement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. The service does not guarantee attendance, real-world safety, uninterrupted availability or error-free third-party map results. Contact the grievance officer with questions or requests.
8. Contact and changes
The operator and grievance officer can be contacted using the details above. Public policies may be updated as the service changes; the applicable version and effective date are displayed on each page. Website publication alone does not activate backend policy enforcement or establish that a testing build is ready for public release.
